My favourite ways to relax

Hi everyone,
So today's post is on my favourite ways to relax. I love nothing more than taking time for myself and relaxing. I believe that is important that everyone takes this time. As I work on my feet, as a hairdresser, there's nothing like coming home and winding down. I try to take a little bit of time for myself each day but some days I don't manage it. There are so many things out there that people find relaxing. Some I may not like and some you may not like. But these are a few of the things I like to do.

Facial:
Yes I know this is a repeated theme that gets mentioned on here. But I love it. Also facials are super easy. Whether you go to a salon to get one done or you do a DIY one at home. They are always on the top of my list if I need to take some chill time. So go and get relaxed with a beauty therapist or even better grab a hand full of products and have a play.

Drink green tea:
This one may seem a little bit silly but this can be combined with so many other things you can do to relax. I love sitting and drinking green tea. It leaves me feeling really calm and relaxed. You can also have normal tea but I just prefer green tea. Also if you don't want tea why not a hot chocolate, another one of my favourites.
Watch a movie:
I love sitting down to watch a movie and yes that sometimes involves popcorn. I know what you must be thinking, not all movies are relaxing? Yes I agree but I just tend to find them so relaxing, its personal preference. You just cant beat the feeling of getting under your duvet and snuggling down while watching a movie. Super cosy and super chilled. Its exactly what I am talking about.
Have a bath:
I know this is a really simple one, but trust me it works. If I am feeling stressed, worried or just anxious in general about something, the bath is where I go. I run a nice hot bath with loads of bubbles, light a candle and play some relaxing music. Sometimes this is the only way I can find I really wind down. The bath is also where all my ideas mostly come to me and I truly believe this is because everything I am worrying about is gone for that spilt moment I am in the bath and everything is calm.
Light a candle:
I really think there is nothing more relaxing than the flicker of a burning candle. Yes I may sound slightly weird, but I love it. I love the way a candle looks when its burning, I love the way the scent fills the air and mostly I love the way it leaves me feeling. If you are looking to create a calm atmosphere, a candle is where its at.
Listen to music:
This also is personal preference, depending on what music you listen to. I can find any music relaxing but having said that my favourite when relaxing is spa music. I just find that if I listen to this in the bath it just calms me instantly. But it really doesn't matter, whatever music you like, go for it. I also find that if I really listen to the lyrics this really de-stresses me.
Read a book:
I LOVE reading, I always have. So when I get to sit down in the evenings and read it just chills me out completely. It doesn't matter what I read either, it all does the job. The book above is what I am reading at the moments and its one that one of my clients lent me. I am loving it and reading about cosmic energy totally calms me down. Also it makes me think, which is something I love in a book.
So they are some of the things I like to do when I need to wind down and relax. What do you like to do to relax? Let me know in the comments. I hope you are having an awesome week. Let me know how its going in the comments.
Love
