Hi everyone,
Can you believe we are on the first Sunday of the month again. We all know what that means its time for a monthly favourites post. April was a fantastic month for favourites as I tried out so many new products and things. But I still have some old favourites in here too. I personally love these types of posts, as I love having a nose at what other people have been using. If you do too, stick around and have a read. I have a feeling this is going to be a good one.
Hair:
- Bleach London Rose Shampoo and Conditioner:
I seriously cant sing these products praises enough. I recently featured them in my How I turned my hair pink post and everything I said was true. These products are extremely pigmented to the degree I thought Christ what colour will these turn my hair. But they work incredibly well and I have to say my hair has never felt in better condition. I don't know if this is down to the hair dye or these products. But which ever it is, it does feel incredible. My one downside to these is that I have to say I am not the biggest fan of the scent. It is not nasty, it is just very different. But overall whether you have dyed your hair pink or have blonde hair and want a pink rinse, I totally recommend these.
- Bleach London Rose Hair Colour:
Again you may recognise this product from my How I turned my hair pink post. But it had to make it into my favourites. I mean come on what's not to love about perfect pastel coloured hair. I absolutely love this colour. It so girly and cute. The consistency of this colour is insane, its so creamy its like its a conditioner. It says it lasts 2-10 washes but if you maintain it like I did (see my post) you can make it last. I have got a month out of mine and I am getting it redone next week. Overall If your looking to trying something a little more funky in the hair department definitely try these. They are also very reasonably priced.
- Bleach London Silver Shampoo and Conditioner
Again, I know more Bleach London. But these products have been pushing all the right buttons for me this month. The shampoo is so pigmented, you wonder why your hair doesn't turn purple. But that's what I love about it. The higher the pigment it has the more likely it is to banish brassy tones within my hair. The conditioner is a soft lilac colour and works so well with the shampoo. I always use to be the girl that would walk into a shop pick up a purple shampoo and leave the conditioner. Now I ask myself why, because combined, these are a powerful tool. If you have brassy tones in your blonde that you just don't want there, these are required. Don't do what I have always done and just get the shampoo, get the conditioner too. You wouldn't do half a job for anything else, so why should you with your hair.
There is only one word to describe this product and that is, luxury. NYR products are one of my favourites, as you know. This product has to be top for some of my favourites they sell. It is a facial oil. So what I do is I apply it when I do myself a little facial, before I apply my moisturiser. The scent of this is divine. If you were to shut your eyes and smell this you would think you had just walked into a spa. The consistency of this is perfect, its not too oily. I know this must sound mad, your thinking well its an oil Zoe. But honestly its not one of these oils that feel so oily they leave your skin feeling slick. This seeps into your skin like a dream, you would hardly know it was there. This product is aimed at dry skin, which I don't have much of, only in some places. But I just find that this is perfect for my skin just to give it that extra little boost of moisture it is needing. If you are looking for a facial oil, totally go check out the range of oils at Neal's Yard Remedies.
- The Body Shop Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue:
I actually have spoke about this foot cream before, back in my at home pedicure routine post. I have to say it is one of the best I have ever used, and trust me when I say this as I have tried so many. The packaging like all Body Shop products is flawless. The product itself is ultra creamy. I would describe it as the same, if not similar consistency as a body butter. But for your feet. The scent is pure heaven. I mean who doesn't want feet that smell of peppermint. I know I make this product sound perfect but that's because it is. In the short time I have been using this I have noticed a considerable amount of difference to the skin on my feet. If you have read my pedicure post you will know that I do suffer with my feet. But since using this they have been much better. I really do recommend this to anyone who suffers with dry cracked heels.
- St Tropez Self Tanning Lotion:
OMG what cant I say about this tan, its just incredible. I spoke about this tan over on my top 5 fake tans post and I meant every word I said. This tan is what I would reach for every time as this always delivers the perfect tan. You know you see these girls who fake tan and well lets just put it out there, you know they have tanned. This is nothing like that. This provides you with a sun-kissed natural tan. Which lets face it wins every time. One thing I love about this tan other than the colour is how well it applies. This glides onto the skin like silk and blends like a dream. I have to say I have a lot of tan that I love using all for different reasons, but I have never found another one to the high standard this one is. Want that summer glow? You need this in your life.
Food:
- Terry's Chocolate Orange Segsations:
My guilty pleasure has to be chocolate. Recently I have been trying to eat just dark chocolate as it is meant to be better for you. But sometimes you just get that craving for something really sweet and that's where milk chocolate comes in. I am a big lover of Terry's Chocolate Orange and when I saw these little beauties, I just had to buy them. These were really lovely and all the flavours were really scrummy. What is your guilty pleasure when it comes to chocolate?
Chia seeds:
I had never had chia seeds till a few weeks back and I have to say they have been regularly used since. Just in case you don't know much about chia seeds let me give you some basics. They are high in fibre and an amazing source of protein making these amazing if you have an aim to lose weight. I personally have been using these in a shake that I have been having after my workout. Which they have worked incredibly well for. If you haven't tried these find yourself an awesome recipe and make it. Because these tiny little seeds will change your life. These will now be a staple in my cupboards from now on.
- Innocent Coconut Water:
I have tried a trillion coconut waters and this one is an absolute winner. I don't think I will ever use another coconut water. I use this in shakes, meals and anything I can get it in. Honestly where ever I can get this in, I will. If you want to try a coconut water, go out and get this one. I highly recommend this. This is so super healthy for you too, which is such an added bonus.
Other:
- American Horror Story:
I got these DVDs a while back (1st-3rd series, August, 4th series, December) and I have already watched them all. But in April I totally started re-watching these and lets put it simply, I love them. I love all 4 series, they are all so different. These are not for the faint hearted as these are rated as a horror. Which let me just say I hate horrors. But one day a while back series one came on the TV. I said to my sister I had heard such good things about it and then we started watching it. I have been hooked ever since. Let me just say these don't get worse the more you watch them, they get better. If you are into this type of programme get yourself to HMV and get the DVDs because these are incredible.
- Planning sheets:
Planning sheets have consumed my life over April. I love these so much. I have started trying to get ultra organised in my blog work. As I want to produce incredible content for you to read. I love these, I can just spend hours filling these out. It makes me feel completely in control of what I am doing and what I am producing. If you are a blogger and haven't tried these, totally go and try these. You can found about a trillion free downloadable ones online, my favourites come from pinterest.
So they are my favourites for April. I hope that you enjoyed this post as much as I did writing this. This is one of my favourite part of the month. Where I get to sit down and just think about the amazing thing I have been using. What have you been loving this month? Let me know in the comments. Have you tried anything I mentioned? Again leave any comments below for me. I love hearing from you guys. Hope you are having an amazing bank holiday weekend. What have you been up to? Let me know down below.
