Another day, another product review. Todays is body clay. Yes think expensive spa treatment, but your at home. This is the perfect pamper product. Think hot bath, candles and body clay. Sound good? Of course it does. Keep reading to find out more about this awesome product.
So we should probably start with what is body clay. I will admit when I first heard of it I had a rough idea what it was but had no idea where you could get it from. It turned out loads of brands sell them. Now I thought it was the kind of thing you could only have done at a spa. So as soon as I started looking through brands that sell it, I was kinda addicted. Now being a massive The Body Shop fan, I just had to scan their website to see if they did it. Hey presto, they did. So a body clay is exactly like a facial mask but this one is for your body. You apply it, leave it to dry and when you remove it your skin is left silky soft.
So there I am scanning through The Body Shop website, I was like a blood hound. That's when I came across their Spa Of The World range. I had heard of this range before but never really looked into it properly. I know it is one of their higher priced product ranges. But there it was, two different body clays, which yes I did struggle to choice which one I wanted. I was going to get both but decided to only go for one, and this one won. I decided on this because I thought if I like this one, the other one will definitely be purchased another time.
So a bit more about this body clay. This one is a purifying clay which contains charcoal. This is perfect for drawing out any impurities from the skin. Also it is bamboo charcoal from the Himalayas in India. Charcoal is well known for drawing out tensions from the mind resulting in you feeling de-stressed and calmer. It also leaves your skin feeling incredibly soft. The smell of this is super relaxing. I mean the range is called Spa Of The World, it says everything for itself. I would describe this as a spa in a bottle. So this is the dream product you are looking for if you want that chilled out evening pampering yourself. You will get out of the bath/shower feeling super chilled and relaxed.
So believe me when I say this, this is one of the easiest products to use, EVER. All you need to do is apply a thin layer to your body. I applied this to my legs, tummy, chest and arms. I have also applied this to my back, as I suffer with blemishes on my back. You then need to leave the mask to dry and act for 10 minutes. Then rinse it off. Your skin is left super soft. I also found any impurities on my skin have gone or decreased.
The packaging of this is incredible. The range is slightly more than most of The Body Shops other ranges. But you can definitely tell, I love all their packaging but this one is pure luxury. It looks super sleek and will fit well where ever you keep it, be that on your bath or in your room. I love the bronze tube with the copper label. It goes super well with my colour theme of my room so it looks great sitting on my cabinet where I keep all my products.
I would recommend this product to anyone, girls and guys. I love this so much. As I have said the perfect pamper product. This should be your go to product for that night you just want some me time.
This retails at £18. So yes it is higher end but so worth it, trust me.
