New years resolutions update

Hi everyone,
I seriously cant believe we are now half way through the year. Where the hell did that go. If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that in January I made some New Years resolutions. So I thought as we are now half way through this year, I could give you an update on how I am getting on.

Clean my make-up brushes everyday after use
I have actually managed to do this. Trust me no one can be more surprised than me. I have got into the routine that every evening I use my Morphe Brush Cleaner and give my brushes a good spot clean. Then at the weekend I give them a good deep clean using soap and water. I have to say my brushes have never looked so clean. Also my skin has got a lot better since I started this. I will definitely be keeping this up.

Drink more water
I would say I have definitely accomplished this one. I now drink between 2-4 litres of water each day, if not sometimes more. I know what you are thinking water is boring. But its not, I would actually choose a cold glass of water with ice over a can of coke any day. I like to switch my water up sometimes though. To do this I like to add slices of lemon or lime or even both. My favourite way to have my water is icy cold over tons of ice and lemon.

Do more exercise
As you probably know by now, I have been following Joe Wicks Lean In 15 books. Which involve me actually working out. Before I started Lean In 15, I will admit I actually hated exercise. Now I don't know why because I love it. I now own workout clothes, dumbbells, a yoga matt, a weight bench and protein powder. All these things would of never made it into the house before. I feel so much better for working-out though. I have so much more energy, yes it means I have to get up at 6.15 so I still have time to get ready for work. But believe me it is so worth it, because I am buzzing all day. I can now never imagine not working-out.

Eat more healthily
Again I thank Mr Joe Wicks for this. I now eat extremely lean and I love it. I am not saying I don't eat chocolate anymore, because lets face it we all know I do. I have actually tried foods that I would of never touched before. I mean I have been eating so much avocado recently, and I just wouldn't of even tried this before. I will be honest with you I definitely don't think I will ever go back to how I use to eat, I just love my way of living at the moment. I don't want how amazing I feel to change. I have tons of energy and I feel amazing and I look so good for it. I never thought I would say that but I do.

Pass my driving test
This one I have not yet achieved but I am planning to have it done by the end of the year for sure. I cant wait till I have as then it will make it easier for me to get out and about.

Get a good group of followers on my blog
I have kind of achieved this, as like anyone I would love if it got better. Its one of them kind of things that you can keep improving on. But having said that I am also happy with the amount of people that do follow my blog, as lets be honest, I still cant believe you read it. I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who does read my blog regularly. Leave me your twitter names in the comments so I can check you out.

Start YouTube
I will be honest with you I actually cant believe this one has actually been achieved. This was an aim I was working to do later in the year. But it just happened that a video I was planning to upload on here was too big. That was the beginning of my YouTube channel. If you want to check my videos out you will find my channel here.

Live everyday like it is my last
This one was so important to me. As working with the elderly you see a lot of clients who are no longer able to do everything themselves or how they use to. Also as sad as it is, you also have clients that pass away. All this put together really makes you realise that everyday is an opportunity and you should take it. You get to hear the most amazing stories from clients about places they have visited to how they met their partners. These people are so happy and they have experienced so much through their lifetime, that I think everyday should be cherished as you never know what is round the corner.

Say yes more
This one I totally need to work on as I am very well known for not saying yes to opportunity's that maybe I should. This will definitely be something I work on over the rest of the year. Saying yes to things I believe, opens up so many doors for you and if you can do it, do it.

So there is my mid year update. Did you make any New Years resolutions? Did you keep them? Let me know in the comments. Enjoy the rest of your week. See you Sunday for another blog post.

Love
