Discovering Pixie Skincare

So I have been a dedicated Neal's Yard Remedies user for over 5 years now and don't get me wrong I am still deeply in love with it, but there's always time to try something new. I have seen Pixi all over instagram for so long and always loved the look of it. The products are eye catching and sound absolutely incredible. So when a good friend of mine Leanne told me how she had been using them and that they were on introductory price in boots, I thought it was time to take the plunge.

I wanted to buy products that would work as a full skincare routine for me. As I had ran out of all my current skincare. For first impressions I will say Pixi do have a lot to offer products wise. But with all skincare its about what you want from your skin, you cant just buy and hope it does what you want it to. You need to know your skin concerns.

I went for three products that I thought would work with my skin. I don't have many concerns and my skin is pretty normal. I get a few breakouts here and there but overall I am happy with my skin. Having said that if you asked me that a few years back I hated my skin. I was breakout after breakout, my skin wasn't clear and I just didn't have that "glow". Now I am in much more of a happy place with my skin. Whether that's due to extremely hard work caring for my skin and giving it products it needs, or using Neal's yard remedies. It could even be just down to the fact that now I can safely say I am a more confident person. I am in an extremely happy relationship, I'm a healthier version of myself and I'm not only physically strong but now mentally. All of these could be factors. But enough about my skin and me, lets get down to the products.
With any skincare we start with cleanse. I picked up the beautiful Double Cleanse. Now I am use to using oils on my skin, I went through a phase of using coconut oil to wash my face (I loved it) till my tub ran out. Double Cleanse has two cleansers. The first one being a solid cleansing oil. This is truly beautiful. You only need a small amount rubbed into your fingers until it melts. You can then apply this to your skin to break down any dirt, makeup or even sunscreen. This has then prepped you for step two, which is a cleansing cream. This is soft, creamy and luxurious. It applies to the skin effortlessly. This step is to cleanse the skin you have just broke down any impurities on and then condition it. Leaving you with the softest feeling skin.
Once your skin is all cleansed and feeling incredibly soft, its time for a toner. I chose the Glow Tonic. Now anyone who has heard of Pixi has most likely heard of this product, if you haven't where have you been? This was the first ever product I saw all over the Internet from Pixi. So many people raving about it but I never took the plunge. Now I wonder why I waited so long. This is only what I can describe as the dream product. As with all pixie products the packaging is flawless. This is a 5% glycolic acid exfoliating toner. This helps to exfoliate and purifies the skin while also encouraging new cell renewal. 5% is quite low but you must be careful when using this if you have sensitive skin, if you do Pixi have other toners that will work for you. I adore the way this leaves my skin feeling. The only way I can describe it is fresh.
After I have got rid of the day and toned my skin I want to moisturise. Which is where Hydrating Milky Mist comes in. When I went into boots they didn't actually have any cream moisturisers in as they had sold out. But I loved the look of this mist and honestly I am so glad I purchased this. It smells divine and it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and ready to take on the day. It is a very light mist with hyaluronic acid to plump the skin. This will be the perfect product in the summer when your skin just needs that burst of moisture.

Have any of you tried Pixi? If so let me know what you love.
