2018 is here. Yet this is my biggest year to date.
It started by me seeing a massive chapter in my life close and a new one begin. After 7 years of working in my local salon, Saturday I spent my last day there. You may be thinking Zoe why? Well I have taken a huge leap into my future. I can safely tell you at 21 I am an owner of my own business. I know crazy right. It still feels unreal to say. But let me update you on what happens now....
So I will still be doing the job which has been my passion for the last 7 years. Hairdressing is a job I will never give up. But now I will be seeing clients within their own homes, exciting right. I am super buzzing for the rest of my life. This really feels like this is where my life begins. Not only will I be doing my hairdressing but A Norfolk Blondie is coming back. More regular posting on here and my youtube channel. I have missed this so much and I need to regain my passion in my work and my hobbies.
Your probably sitting there thinking why have I decided to leave my extremely stable job? Honestly, this comes down to my happiness. I love my job and I love the girls I work with, but these two things do nothing if your not happy. Your own happiness is everything. To go to work and somedays wish you wasn't there is no way to live your life. I could not bare for this to become my everyday. I get so much joy from seeing the clients I already have within their own homes that I knew I was ready to take this jump into my life.
So what does 2018 have to offer me...
- Hard times....
But I can do this. Positive attitude all the way. The work will be hard, time out of my days will be taken to work on paperwork. But I am one crazy organised paperwork lover, so I don't think this will be too much of a problem. I have the support of my loved ones around me and that, is all I need to get through this.
- Hobbies....
My hobbies will be coming back in full swing. I love to blog and I love to film youtube videos. Why have I not done it for so long when so much of my joy comes from it. Not only will these hobbies be back but I am back into reading again. Not even I know where I lost this. Reading has been a massive thing to me since I was tiny. It really is one of my happy places. A hot bubbly bath and a reading book, sometimes its what you need.
- Spending time with my other half.....
Or shall I call him my better half as everything is so much better since meeting him. This years a big one for us, with our 1 year approaching quickly. With his job currently we do get limited time together but make the most of what we have. So 2018 is all about trying new things and going new places. And of course motorsports which is a love for both of us. Its all about making them memories that will last a life time.
So 2018 come on, I'm ready for you. Its time to work hard, start enjoying life more and stop caring what others think. This is my life, why live it by everyone else's rules. Its my rules that matter, even if they are made for breaking. Now is the time to live, try new things and make mistakes.
