Hi everyone,
So you all know me and I love my skincare. I adore my Neal's Yard Remedies almond moisturiser and when I ran out I was left thinking what to buy. I was shopping in Tesco and came across the Nivea range. Now I have never used any of their skincare products so thought I would give them a shot. I picked up the daily essentials light moisturising day cream and the daily essentials regenerating night cream. So I thought I would share with you my thoughts on them today. This is the first time I have ever used a separate day cream to night.
Both of these products are aimed at my skin type which is normal/combination skin. This means that my skin is normal but can suffer with dryness and oiliness on areas of my skin. It is always important when purchasing a skincare product that you look into what skin type it is for. This will tell you if it is suitable for your skin.
The packaging these came in is adorable. With them both coming in boxes that match the product themselves. Both boxes clearly state the main facts about the products you need to know. It was actually one of the main things that made me pick these up because I saw it and thought ohh that packaging looks nice. Once inside the boxes, the day cream comes in a really handy tube. The night cream comes in an adorable dark blue pot, which looks super cute on your dressing table.
So lets talk about this day cream. Lets start with this has an intense moisture which leaves you with moisturised and protected fresh feeling skin. Who doesn't want that fresh feeling? I mean lets be real about this, what's the point of it if you cant feel how amazing your skin feels. Its what's inside this moisturiser that counts. With vitamin E, lotus extract and hydro IQ, your guaranteed the moisture your skin requires. The main fact about this product that really appealed to me was the fact that this has SPF 15. Now I never buy moisturisers with SPF in, I don't know why I just don't. Your probably thinking Zoe its winter, yes I am aware. But you have to start sometimes and we do still get the odd sunny day here and there in England, so why not start now. The consistency of this is fairly light and goes into the skin nicely. You don't need a lot at all. With this being aimed at combination skin this refreshes the skin and supports the natural balance.
To apply the daily moisturiser you apply a small amount to your skin once you have cleansed it in the mornings.
Right now we have the night cream. Again this is full of vitamin E, which is super good for your skin. This leaves you skin intensively moisturised and regenerated making sure you wake up with fresh feeling skin in the morning. This provides deep moisture and supports the skin regenerating process at night. This is thanks to Provitamin B5. The consistency of this product is more on the thicker side. But it does provide you with that intense moisture feeling.
Just apply this in the evenings onto cleansed skin.
There is one thing I have found with these two products that could put me off buying them again. I do find they make my skin slightly oily. Also when I first started using it I found my skin felt quite itchy, that has since gone. I'm not saying I wouldn't purchase these again because I would I have really loved trying them out.
So that's a little about the daily essentials moisturisers from Nivea. I have loved these. I also forgot to mention how insanely good these smell. I will definitely continue using them and possibly even repurchase them in the future. Have you used either of these or any Nivea skincare? Let me know in the comments.
Love
Zoe x
