My sizzling summer make-up

Hi everyone,

Its that time of the year where everyone is starting to have their summer holidays. So for my first installment of this two part post I am going to be talking about my idea of perfect make-up for going away. I personally like to have a lighter make-up look while I am away, as I know its going to be hot. So I don't want to be covered in tons of make-up. Also while I am away I like to wear no make-up during the day as I think of a holiday as a time to give my skin a break.

Base:

For my base I like to keep it fairly simple while I am away. One, because I don't want a heavy make-up look and two, because I can only travel with so much. I like to start with my go to, Bareminerals correcting concealer. This one is so easy to travel with as its so tiny. I then like to use my Bareminerals complexion rescue. This is really light and is a gel cream formula. So this is really good for when you are travelling abroad. It is also very hydrating, which is amazing as skin tends to dry out in the sun. I then finish my base off with Maybelline master contour v-shaped duo stick contour and highlight. What more could you want two products in one. This works really well and both products blend very well into the skin. Giving you that skin kissed glow you look for. You may have noticed I don't use powder for this look as I quite like it when my makeup is more glowy when I am away apposed to more set.
Brows:

Brows have to be done no matter where I am. For this particular look I am going for my Rimmel eyebrow pencil. As this will give me a softer finish to my brows.
Eyes:

I have two options for my eyes and that's purely because I like to play around with them a bit more. First I have the Maybelline color tattoo 24hr in "On and on bronze". I love this, and as you can see it has had plenty of use. If you use a fluffy brush this blends incredibly well. It can also double up as a base to the shadows in the palette, to help make them last longer. The other choice I have is the Maybelline the blushed nudes palette. The colours in this are beautiful. They all contain a shimmer but it is not too over powering. I have personally loved using the 3rd on the top row over my lid and then blending the 3rd on the bottom row through my crease and outer corner. These colours are perfect for a holiday look as they are shimmery and all very cute summer colours. There is something for everyone. I then finish off my look with a good coating of No7 intense volume mascara. This is really nice and makes your lashes look lovely and long with tons of volume.
Lips:

No look is complete without doing your lips. I like to keep it quite natural while I am away. Lip balm during the day and a nice natural lip colour in the evening. My go to for my sizzling summer look would be this No7 high shine lip crayon. I do just have to say I don't actually know what shade this is in as it doesn't say as it is a miniature. If you do know what one this is please could you leave the name in the comments as I would love to repurchase this. But back to the colour as you can see from the swatch above it is a fairly natural colour which is more on the pinker side. This looks amazing on the lips.
So that is my sizzling summer make-up. What make-up looks will you be wearing this summer? Let me know in the comments. Amy will be posting her half of this post tomorrow, so be sure to check hers out. You will find her here. Also keep you eyes peeled on Sunday when I will be posting my second half of this post, which is my perfect garden party makeup. I hope you are having a wonderful week.
Love
