November favourites

Hi everyone,

So Christmas has passed us, so lets take a look back to November. There were a few things I was loving in November and I thought I would share them with you. I didn't do a favourites post for October so I have some exciting things for you from last month. With a mixture of hair, beauty, food and lifestyle there is something for everyone to read. Whether you want to know what shampoo I am loving or what TV series I cant get enough of, here is where you need to be.

OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Shampoo:

This shampoo I will admit was a quick buy I was in need and this one caught my eye. I suffer with dry hair due to being a blondie. What caught my eye about this one is that it claims to replenishes and rejuvenates dehydrated strands. Just what I need. This does smell incredible and leaves my hair feeling incredibly soft. I can definitely say my hair has felt in better condition since I have been using this. I loved it so much I have purchased the conditioner since.

The Body Shop Peach Shower Gel:

Definitely not a winter scent but this one is a winner. Sometimes peach can be overpowering, not this one, its just perfect. I love it and I can guarantee you that you can still smell this on your skin once you have used it. One thing I love about The Body Shop shower gels is that they last for ages. You only need a small amount, it goes a long way.

Carmex Lip Balm:

Its winter, its cold and boy does your skin know it. Your lips are always the first to tell you. Dry, chapped lips, sound familiar? If so you need to try out Carmex lip Balm. The formula of this can only be described as beautiful. It will have your lips back to perfect before you know it. So don't deal with the cold, fight it. Make this your new go to lip balm, you wont be disappointed.

The Groovy Food Company Organic Coconut Oil:

This was recommended to me by a good friend and beauty therapist. I know what you must be thinking what is she about to say. Well I have been using coconut oil to cleanse my skin. Crazy I know. But believe me when I say this, it is one of the best cleansers I have used on my skin. She said to me Zoe it will take off all your makeup including your mascara. I was shall we say dubious, its only fair. But let me tell you, it was no joke. I watch my makeup melt on my skin when I use this. Yes this does mean when I have given my eyes a good rub round to remove the mascara, I do resemble a panda. But do I care, no. If you haven't tried this, do. Yes coconut oil is not the cheapest of items, but trust me you don't need a lot at all.

Dairy Milk:

Picture: http://www.hdsfoods.co.uk/product/dairy-milk-chocolate/

Yes I will admit I am partial to a bar of chocolate. Also yes Tesco having it on deal constantly is also not helpful. But I do love myself some Dairy Milk. I mean I love all chocolate but this always seems to pull me back in when I least expect it. Throughout November I kept finding me being drawn to buying this. So I did. One thing I will always say is if you want it have it. There is no point leaving something for tomorrow when you can easily do it today. So if your mind is telling you, you need that chocolate, have it. You most likely deserve it. What is your favourite chocolate? Let me know.

Squares-Salt And Vinegar:

Picture: http://onlineshoppingtenerife.com/product-information/3879

So yes I do try to eat as healthy as I possibly can but just recently I haven't been able to stop eating these. I will also admit I am more of a two bag kinda girl. One just isn't enough. I use to have these all the time wen I was younger. They are now one of my favourite things to eat again.

The Notebook:

This film was lent to me by a client, purely because she was so shocked I hadn't seen it. I do love a good romance and this is no let down. I don't want to give to much away but if you fall in love with a good love story, this one is for you. One thing I will say is just make sure you have tissues, they will be needed.

Orange Is The New Black:

Picture: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/amanda-duberman/orange-is-the-new-black-review_b_3617934.html

This was recommended to me to watch. I will say I was dubious to say the least about watching this. But once I started I couldn't stop. Yes there are quite a few sexual scenes and plenty of boobs to be seen, but don't let this put you off. The storyline to this is amazing and easy to follow. Every character is different and you get to learn something about all of them. They all have their tales. So if your a Netflix lover get watching this, it could be your next binge watch.

Women's Health:

I love all things fitness and healthy lifestyle. So recently I started buying this. It is super informative and really lovely to read. Giving you lots of tips, tricks, exercises and recipes, any fitness lover will find something in here. Brimming from cover to cover with inspiration, there no reason not to kick start your fitness journey.

So they are my November favourites. What was you loving last month? Have you tried anything I mentioned and what did you think? Let me know in the comments. I hope you are all having an incredible week.

From tourists to girls night out

Hi everyone,
As a female one struggle I have in life in how to take my makeup from a day time look to an evening look. I know sounds simple but trust me, trying to pull this off without having that "yes I have done nothing to my makeup" look is not. So I thought today I would share with you how I would take my make up from day to night in Vegas.
Vegas is a beautiful place, one I haven't had the opportunity to visit. There is lots to see and do. So if any of you girls are planning a girly holiday out there. You need to consider how you plan to take your makeup from day to night. I have recently been looking on the vegas.com website and they have some amazing looking hotels on there. They also have loads of things on there you can do while you are visiting. Like attractions, tours, bars and much more. I saw the Flamingo hotel on there and it is truly stunning. So I thought I would share with you how I would have my make up going from being a tourist to having a night out with the girls.
The tourist:
While you are sight seeing the wonderful Vegas, you don't want to have to worry about your makeup. You definitely don't want to think about having to keep reapplying it. So I would go for a very simple look yet enough that you look like you have mad an effort. As it will be hot out there I would say to go for a very light base so that it doesn't all just crease as the day goes on. I love the Bareminerals Complexion Rescue. This is a very light/medium coverage tinted gel cream. That blends into the skin perfect giving you the right amount of coverage for the day. Keeping with the base depending on your skin I would apply concealer to any areas you need to. I find the best one for me for during the day is the Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer. To finish the base off I would just add some Seventeen instant glow shimmer brick to my cheekbones. For eyes again you want to keep it simple so I would fill in my brows with the L'Oreal brow artist genius kit. I would then use my Maybelline new York the nudes palette on my eyelids as these colours are super natural. I would use a natural brown shade to just give me a slight colour on my lids. To finish off my eyes its lashes. I love Benefit they're real tinted primer. Its nice and natural so it can be worn easily during the day. Lastly I would take my Maybelline baby lips in pink punch just to add some colour to my lips. The benefit of using this is it keeps my lips nice and soft.
Girls night out:
When your hitting the bars and casinos with the girls you want makeup with staying power. So this is where your going to be wanting higher coverage. So sticking with the same concealer from the day look. Cover everything that needs covering. Then with foundation we want a higher coverage one, so I like the Rimmel London match perfection foundation. Its still going to be hot in the evenings and your going to get hot going between places. So you need to set that base in place. For this I like the Maybelline super stay 24H waterproof powder. This powder is perfect for in hot places as it works against humidity. You cant forget your contour and highlight. I would use the Bareminerals ready bronzer in the skinny dip and the Bareminerals ready luminizer in the love affair and the shining moment. These are both lovely and blend really well. I use the same product for brows because that's the one I like. It blends well into my brows leaving them looking natural. For eyes I would use the Maybelline colour tattoo 24H in on and on bronze. Apply this all over your lid and use a fluffy brush to blend it out. Take a brown eye shadow and blend this into the outer corner and through your crease. Lashes are a big thing for the evening look there is quite a lot to them. So we start with the benefit tinted primer and then over that we have the Soap and glory thick and fast mascara. I love this one it makes your lashes so long and thick. Together they are a perfect match. On top of the mascara I would add lashes, just because your in Vegas why not, be wild. So I love the Ardell fashion lashes in 101 demi. These are perfect lashes for Vegas. Lastly we finish with a dramatic lip. For this I chose a Rimmel London Kate lipstick in Kiss of life. This is a bright bold red, perfect for getting noticed when your with the girls.
So they are the two looks I would go for when visiting Vegas. Have you been to Vegas? How would you have your makeup? Let me know in the comments. If your interested in visiting Vegas, Check out some of the hotel package deals in Las Vegas. You will find all the information you need for what to do while your there and where to stay.
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

my favourite fall frugal fun

Hi everyone,
Fall is the perfect time to get out and do something. But not everyone can afford expensive days out. So why not go out and have some frugal fun. By this I mean do things that have a small budget. So get your friends and family together and start planning your low budget fun. Today I thought I would share with you what I would do for some frugal fun this fall season.
In these colder months I am a sucker for cosy nights in. So mine would be a night in with all my girlfriends. I would get them all round to watch movies, natter and eat good food. The living room would be kept cosy by keeping the lights low an having plenty of blankets for us all to get cosy under. There would be a fall Yankee candle burning, so when the girls get to me it smells amazing and is lovely and warm. Food is always a massive thing for me. So I would make sure that we had a good hearty meal in the oven. I would then get the girls all to bring some of their favourite snacks. Overall this evening would of hardly cost anything but would be full of fun and laughter. Two things that cost nothing.
Image: http://www.girlscene.nl/p/6764/geen_geld_geen_kerst
Another one that would be good for you to do with family, friends or your partner is a nice walk at the beach. I know sounds crazy. Its fall and I am talking about going for a walk at the beach where it will be cold. But trust me wrap up warm and you will have bundles of fun. This is a super inexpensive day. You can wrap up warm is all your winter clothes and walk as little or as far as you like. You could even pack a picnic and eat it in the car.

Image: https://uk.pinterest.com/pin/172825704421623991/
So they are two things I would do for some fall frugal fun. I understand that money can sometimes be an issue and we need to manage our money correctly. That's why at Personal Capital they can provide you with help for just that. You can find that here. Join in with #fallfrugalfun. I hope your all having an amazing week.

My steps to making your home cosy this fall

Hi everyone,

So as the colder weather is setting in everywhere starts to feel a bit more chilly. Even the house. I personally think there is nothing worse than a cold home. Especially as now it is getting colder, all we want to do is get cosy. So I thought today I would give you my steps to help you cosy up your home this fall. As I don't think anyone should come home to a house that isn't cosy.

First off invest in some good candles. I say this because coming home on a cold day and lighting a candle is one of the best feelings ever. Then when you go back in to the room you are hit with this amazing fragrance and warmth from it. For this time of the year some of my favourite scents to burn are ones that smell of baking and spicy scents. I just find these warm the home perfectly. One I love is cinnamon. This is perfect to burn while watching a movie curled up on the sofa. This is an instant cosy feeling.

Image: http://cancandancer.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/bath-body-works-fall-mini-candle.html
Next up is throws and blankets. Now when the weather starts to get colder we start to layer up more with our clothing, why should our home be any different. Anything from chunky knit throws to super cute fluffy blankets. They all do the job. These are perfect for when you are cozied up on the sofa or to have on your bed. I personally own loads, I just love them. If you want to take this to the next level, invest in an electric blanket.

Image: http://interiorsbystudiom.com/faux-fur-throw-blanket-home-decor/
Summer may be gone, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't have fresh flowers in the house. Fall is the perfect excuse to have flowers on display. Look to buy flowers that are in autumnal colours. These include reds and oranges. They will not only make your home look beautiful, they will catch the eye of anyone that walks in.

Image: https://uk.pinterest.com/explore/fall-flower-arrangements/
This one you may think is slightly odd as its not related to interior what so ever. Homemade cooking. Honestly it does the trick. Cold fall evening, hotpot in the oven and snuggled up on the sofa. That is a perfect evening. Homemade food is perfect for warming you up, this then makes you all cosy and relaxed. All ready for an evening snuggled up under a blanket.

Image: http://www.goodtoknow.co.uk/recipes/147764/Spiced-lamb-hotpot
This one most of you will probably know is one of my obsessions. Cushions. Like use them in the bedroom and in the living room. This will instantly make it feel cosier. Don't just go for plain cushions, try out different textures.

Image: http://www.homedit.com/bed-pillow-arrangements-whats-your-number/
Lastly is lighting. If you have lamps where you can alter the brightness, try keeping it quite low. If not turn off all other lights and just have a lamp on. This will help it feel nice and cosy because it will make the room darker. I love watching movies in bed with my lamp on a really low brightness and it makes me feel really relaxed.

Image: http://bedroom.eldonwalls.com/bedroom-lighting-ideas-to-make-your-room-look-more-beautiful/
So they are my steps to a more cosy home this fall. I cant wait to start doing all these things myself. Most of them I have already started. All that is left now is to grab yourself a movie, some popcorn and chill out. You can do this with anyone. Family, partner or just on your own. Have you got any other ideas for how to make your home cosy this fall? If so leave them in the comments for me, you know I will love to try them.

How to add some colour to yourself this fall

Hi everyone,

So as many of you know I love fall. But fall may be the month when you can start bringing out all the autumnal colours but it is also that month we are leaving summer. Its the month we say goodbye to the sunshine and sink back into having our winter colour. So I thought today I would share with you some of my ideas to add some colour to yourself this fall.

Now we all know how I love my fake tan. Well when fall gets here that's perfect timing to start getting it out. You already have that summer glow but when its turning into fall you don't want to lose that colour. So if you use fake tan you can keep up with the colour without damaging your skin by going on the sun beds. If you can do this to a good standard no one will ever know as you will just have a summer glow.

Image: http://www.becomegorgeous.com/body-and-skin/self_tanning/sunless_tanning_2013_best_fake_tanning_options-9812.html
So I have spoken on here about adding autumnal colours to your home. Well you should also look at yourself. Use this opportunity to try something a bit more daring. Go for autumn colours you just wouldn't normally pick up. This week I had a client come into the salon and we were talking about this new winter coat she had got. Well when we went to the desk I saw what all the fuss was about. It was in a beautiful burnt orange colour. Yes a colour I would never normally pick for a coat, but this was wonderful. Another way you can add more fall into your wardrobe is picking your clothes in fall colours. I personally own this really cute burgundy skater skirt. I love it. I feel amazing when I wear it. I wear this a lot in the autumn months. One, because of the colour and two, because skirts look lovely paired with tights and boots in the colder months.

Image: http://favim.com/image/630520/
If your looking to include fall into your makeup routine. Try going for a darker lip. This could be either a red lip or a dark plum. A dark red is perfect to bring out this time of the year. I love these sorts of colours, so if you can wear them, I say go for it.

Image: http://wheretoget.it/look/620267
As the colder weather comes our way it gives us an excuse to start gearing up with hats and scarves. So when you go out looking for one don't just go for that plain black one because it will go with everything. Try getting one that is a brighter colour, or even a jazzier pattern. One of the girls I work with has a mustard yellow coloured scarf and that is perfect for this autumn season.

Image: http://fall-into-fashion.tumblr.com/
My last one would be have a play around with your hair. You know that copper/auburn everyone has been having? Well now is your time its the perfect time of the year. If you feel even more daring go for brighter colours that will catch anyone's eye that sees you.

Image: http://www.besthairstyles2013.com/auburn-hair-colors.html/auburn-hair-colors-2
So they are some of my ideas for how you brighten yourself up this fall. Do you think you will be trying any of these? And do you have any others of your own? Let me know in the comments.

Decorating ideas for halloween

Hi everyone,

So its coming up to that time of the year where everyone starts decorating their homes for the spooky season. That's Halloween. Personally I am not a massive fan of Halloween but I love looking at decoration ideas. They all look amazing and you can be very creative with it. So I thought today I would share with you some of the things I would do if I was decorating for Halloween. So lets get on with it.

First I would start with a Halloween sweet bowl. These can be picked up from anywhere around this time of year. They are perfect for holding all them sweets you have for the trick or treaters. They can also look super cool if you are holding a Halloween party. You can them use them to hold any party food or snacks in. Also these would be amazing if you held a Halloween movie night. They would make the perfect bowl to hold all that amazing popcorn.

Picture: https://www.babble.com/home/sweet-20-spooktacular-halloween-candy-bowls/
Next you need your house to look spooky and inviting to the trick or treaters. So now its time to think about what you could put up in your windows or on the front of the house. I recently had a look in Tesco at their Halloween range. They have some amazing decorations you could use. A good one to start with is spider webs and spiders. Put these in your windows and around your door to give it the creepy factor. Another one that is perfect for the front of the house and front garden is caution tape. Use it round your door or put it in your garden and create you own crime scene. I also noticed they were doing balloons that have ghost faces on that light up. These would be amazing in your windows because once it starts to get dark this is the decoration that's still going to draw people in. Also the younger children will love these.

Picture: http://www.partysuperstores.co.uk/section.php?n=2008004
I have noticed this year everyone is doing Halloween themed fairy lights. As regular readers will know, I love fairy lights. I have them in my room, I just love them and how they look. So when I saw these I got very excited. I am still in need of buying some but I am sure I will. I have seen everything from pumpkins to ghosts. I think these are a great idea, the kids will love them and so will the adults. These would be ideal if you were holding a party. Fairy lights are obviously an idea if you are looking for something a bit less scary. Another would be Halloween bunting. Which is super easy to get and even more easy to put up. This then gives you a little something without going over the top.

Picture: http://www.plantsplus.co.uk/home-gifts-c140/halloween-lights-c146/festive-lights-spider-battery-led-halloween-fairy-lights-x-10-p881
Lastly and the most important is pumpkins. You cant have Halloween without a pumpkin. So get your pens are the ready and a knife and do some awesome pumpkin carving. You can either have your pumpkin inside the house or put it out to show the children you are happy for them to knock. This is a great thing to do as a family. So get together have some fun and get a bit messy while your at it.

Picture: http://www.mrwallpaper.com/view/Funny-Halloween-Pumpkins-2560x1600/
So they are some of the ideas I have when thinking about decorating for Halloween. Do you have any different ones? Let me know in the comments. I hope that this post gave you some inspiration, I loved writing it. I will see you all very soon.

My experience of going to an osteopath

Hi everyone,

I know this is a different post to what you guys are use to me posting. But I thought osteopathy is not something that everyone goes through. So why not talk about my experience with you. I know when I first booked my appointment I was so nervous about what to expect, as I had no idea what I was walking in to. So here is my experience and what you should expect.

Lets start with a little bit about why I was having osteopathy. I had it done about 1 month ago. I had been suffering with a bad back prior to the appointment and this had been going on for roughly a month. The pain had been so bad I had been sent home from work, suffered with dizziness and was on a strong dose of painkillers from the doctors. The pain was in the lower of my back.

Image: http://yourosteopathy.co.uk/osteopathy/
So now we have what you should expect when you go to an osteopath. When you first get there they will sit you down and go through a consultation with you. During this they will find out any medical information, personal information and anything that will help them diagnose the problem. After they have finished following out the consultation they will most likely to ask you to remove certain items of clothing that block where they will be working. At this point they will leave the room allowing you time to undress. Once they come back in they then get down to finding out the problem. In my case we started by standing while she pressed my back in certain places and made me stretch. After this I was then asked to lay on the bed. Once you are on the bed they will carry out certain movements involving massage and manipulation of muscle tissue and bones. They may at some points brief you before they are about to do something, this is because they are about to "pop" something back into place. Once they have finished this they will then ask you to sit up slowly as you may feel dizzy after. At this point they will leave the room to allow you time to get dressed. Once they have returned to the room they will then discuss with you what they have diagnosed the problem to be.

This is likely to take more than one session. So once they have finished they will go on to advise you on seeing them again to check that everything has worked. I personally only had two sessions. But depending on the seriousness of your injury, you may be asked to come back more than once.

Now after all that your probably wondering what happens after. Once your first session is over it will leave you feeling slightly sore and a bit stiff. On this day it is advised that you do nothing. This is so that you allow your body time to repair. Having osteopathy done is an expensive treatment, so you don't want to ruin what has just been corrected. You are most likely to find that first week extremely painful. I know my first week after my first session, I felt worse than when I went in. But you just have to believe you body will repair itself. When you go for your second session you will be informed that you should wake with hardly any pain, if any. This is true. When she told me I thought I was going to have another week from hell at work because of the pain. I got up the next morning and there was nothing.

The last thing I will leave you with is, as I mentioned above it is expensive. But do not let that get in your way, because it really does help. I waited a month before I went for mine, I would never do that again.

Have you ever had to have any osteopathy done? If so let me know in the comments how you found it. I know this is a bit of a different post but I hope that you liked it. Leave me any feedback in the comments, I love hearing from you.

The beauty and the blonde turns 1!!!!!

Hi everyone,

So yesterday my blog turned 1. I honestly cant believe it. A year has gone by and it doesn't feel any different from when I started a year ago. To me this is super exciting, I have literally been writing on this blog for 1 whole year.

Its crazy to think a year ago I was sitting in the office at work talking to my manager about wanting to start a blog. She was so supportive and encouraged me to go for it. It still feels like yesterday that this happened. I remember setting up all my blog and how nervous I was to post that very first post. I still get these nerves every time I post as I want to be posting the best work I can for you guys. Something my manager always tells me is that nerves are a good thing, it shows we care. This is so true. I care that I am producing posts that you want to read.

So this blog post is number 107. I honestly cant believe that I have written 107 blog posts, it blows my mind. I hope that you are all still enjoy them as much as when I first started. When I posted that first blog post, the plan was, one post a week . Here we are now and I aim to produce 3 blog posts a week, which is insane.

The next year I hope this blog still continues to grow and improve. I have plans for changing the image of my blog, which is a current work in progress. The only other thing I aim for in the next year is for you all still to be loving my blog and the content I write.

So lastly the only thing left to do is to say a massive thank you to all of you who read my blog. You make me feel incredible and extremely happy. Also thank you to everyone that has supported me through this journey and left amazing comments. It really does help as I love to hear your feedback.

So all I ask is that you continue to follow me on this journey. Lets make this next year better than this year.

My most used make-up brushes

Hi everyone,

I love make-up. I mean I own enough of it, if I didn't like it we would have a problem. But the problem with make-up is you need the right tools to do the job. So this is where make-up brushes come in. Again this is something that I may own a few too many. But I just love trying new ones. So I thought hey why not tell you guys what brushes I am loving. These are brushes that I use on a daily basis.

Lets start with Morphe brushes. These are my favourite brushes. They wash up well and keep their bristles in very well. Morphe are the brushes I use the most. So lets have a look at what ones I am loving right now.

Deluxe blending crease:

This brush is amazing for applying eye shadow. It is super fluffy so is amazing for blending out the shadow. This then gives you a clean fresh line which is evenly blended. It is amazing for smoky eyes.

Angled liner brush:

This is my go to brush for filling in my brows. It evening applies the product. The brush itself is quite small. This means you can get a more accurate application.

Oval shadow brush:

I love this brush the bristles are really tightly compacted, so it is a nice solid brush. This brush is perfect for blending in dark eye shadows to make sure there are no lines left.

Powder brush:

If you are looking for a powder brush, this is the one you are searching for. It is supper soft and applies powder like nothing I have ever used before. It leaves your powder looking flawless and barely there.

Next up I have a few other brushes that I love all by different brands. So here we go.

Real techniques contour brush:

This is the perfect shaped contour brush. Because of this contour is a so much easier. It applies product evenly and you can go as heavy as you like.

Ecotools brow brush and comb:

I know this one is a bit different but I find it really helps to tame my brows. I normally use it to comb the product through after I have applied it to ensure no uneven bits.

Nanshy angled airbrush:

This brush is amazing with tightly compacted bristles it applies foundation like a dream. Nanshy brushes are also extremely good quality.

Nanshy buffed base:

I love this brush so much. It blends in my foundation perfectly. It has a really tightly compressed bristles so would be amazing for a heavier look of powder.

So they are my most used make up brushes. What are your most used brushes. Let me know in the comments.
